Her parents sent her there with a guardian to protect her from an assassin on Earth. Sandy becomes a veterinarian in the ranger’s service and she travels throughout space. One day she crash-lands on Doroon, where Race and Satin find her in a crumpled heap. They bring her to Satin’s cave and Race applies herbal remedies to her wounds. As Sandy begins to heal physically, she and Race grow fond of one another. However, it takes more time for Sandy to regain her full memory. Sandy’s lifelong quest has been to find her father, Colonel Coleman. Fortunately, the Keeborn Cats know exactly where he is. They take Sandy to her father’s grave and this changes her life. She discovers a paragon tube that provides insight into her father’s life - and her own.Race and Sandy now have a similar mission. They want to protect the Keeborn Cats and help the humans colonize Doroon, peacefully. But first, they must defeat their enemies.
