The first of a series of play collections by one of Britain’s leading playwrights and screenwriters. Veterans, based on his experience of co-writing the film ‘The Charge of the Light Brigade’, is one of Charles Wood’s major contributions to British drama. Sir John Gielgud and Sir John Mills led the cast when it was first performed at the Royal Court Theatre. Across from the Garden of Allah was first produced in the West End with Glenda Jackson and Nigel Hawthorne.
