Kaffe Fassett’s Quilts in the Sun: Twenty Designs from Rowan, for Patchwork and Quilting

Kaffe Fassett has presented a collection of 20 original quilt designs to suit all skill levels. The quilts feature the Kaffe Fassett collection of fabrics to which have been added new designs by Amy Butler, whose striking compositions are a delightful addition to the range and whose work is the subject of the designer profile. The photography has been set in Portugal with many of the quilts shown against the backgrounds of glazed tiles and the unique architecture of Santa Catorina Castle and buildings in Porto and Lisbon. Kaffe has taken many of the designs from motifs and ideas he has seen while travelling. He translates many of these images onto fabric designs.
