Costas Christou Mavris was not a perfect man, but he most certainly was a special man in many ways. During his lifetime he experienced the difficulties of growing up within a deprived household in Cyprus, the strife of intercommunal conflict between Greekand Turkish Cypriots and the dangers linked with becoming a member of ‘EOKA’ an organisation committed to the fight against the British to bring about Independence to the Island. He fought against the supporters of The Coup and then fought against the Turkish forces that invaded Cyprus in 1974 before finally providing support to the Palestinian cause. In the years that followed he put down the gun and became an acknowledged artist. This is the true story of ‘Inka’ Costas - a man of many ‘colours’ who constantly searched for justice and peace of mind.
