These are the adventures of three friends who wanted a different kind of holiday together, where nothing was planned and anything could happen. This was in the days before mobile phones and Sat-navs. Their adventures spanned 32 years from 1980 to 2012 when they met many interesting people and made new friends, as they wandered their way around the country. Starting in the Cotswolds they went on to explore the beautiful scenery of the Derbyshire Dales, the Malvern Hills, Ellesmere and the Isle of Wight. Also delving into the history of D.H. Lawrence, lsambard Kingdom Brunel, lronbridge, Sandringham and the ancient city of York, with its fascinating ‘snickleways’. They returned several times to Torbay with its panoramic coastal path walks, ferry rides to Brixham Harbour and the beautiful old thatched village of Cockington. In later years they walked along the banks of the river Severn and reminisced about the golden age of steam whilst riding on the Severn Valley Railway
