The author says: ‘I wrote a book called Stepping Stones To Bethlehem which were daily reflections for Advent. The positive response to Stepping Stones To Bethlehem, my book of Advent reflections, has encouraged me to offer On The Road To Resurrection as daily reflections for Lent. I don’t know about you, but it certainly helps me to have some sort of daily road-map to guide me through those special times, that, on my own , I might aimlessly wander through, without much thought or reflection, I need something that will enable me keep focused, to be alert, and to prepare as best I can for the moment of grace that is offered. I began this book with no prepared menu, or hidden agenda. I opened my heart to the Spirit, and I tried to be faithful to where I was being guided. This lead me to begin each reflection with scripture quotations, as if I were anxious to give the Lord the first word, rather than anything I might have to say. This approach was topped if, wen I came to a concluding prayer, by presenting some verses from the psalms. The psalms were Prayers that Jesus himself prayed, and it’s not possible to improve on to improve in that. Many of us may not be very familiar with the psalms as prayers but, hopefully, after reading each reflection, the words of each psalm may have more meaning for us.
