Seeds of a New Church

Even as the familiar model of Church is in serious decline in Ireland, a new model of Church is coming to birth in the lives and creative pastoral initiatives of a significant number of small, independent groups in all kinds of ministry. This book affirms what these groups are attempting, and reflects theologically on how the seedbed of a renewed Church can be found in their faith and struggle. Written in a spirit of solidarity with church groups, this book is also written for those actively participating in the life of the Church, especially if they are exercising ministry or leadership. Lastly, it is written for the growing number of people who, although open to spirituality and the works of reconciliation and justice, feel increasingly distant from what they perceive the Church to be.
