This collection of documents and maps, is reproduced in a facsimile, determining the history of Saudi Arabia during the 19th and 20th centuries. The collection is published in a total of 10 volumes - each of which covers a praticular period of history. This book contains all ten volumes and illustrates the astonishing political, social and economic changes which, in just over 50 years, transformed the desert Emirate into one of the richest countries in the world. These primary documents are prefaced with an introductory volume which provides a historical background of the main series of documents. The origins of Saudi Arabia are illustrated by selections from early European accounts of the Wahhabi religious reform movement in the 18th century, documents on the political development of the Saudi dynasty and official British summaries of events in Najd and Al Hasa in the 19th century.
