This is the story of how a computer consultant threw off the weary chains of work and got on his bike. His journey took him around the canals of northern England and Scotland. But this is a biker with a difference - he is a Yorkshireman, a Tyke, and so he sees everything from the perspective of God’s Own County.. The author slogs his way round hundreds of miles of canals, passing through many major cities and towns including Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Edinburgh and Glasgow before heading off futher afield to Birmingham, and finally abroad where he finds canals and navigations in France, Ireland and even China.
