Abigale is 12 years old again listening through her bedroom wall, as her parents fought for the last time. Plates were crashing and shouting reverberated all around her. She climbed into her bed and buried her head underneath the pillow, praying for them to stop. Suddenly, she felt a solid object connect with the side of her head. She opened her eyes to meet the angry gaze of her beloved husband, John. He was holding her favourite crystal in his left hand, glaring down at her. Coming to her senses, Abigale darted over to the other side of the bed to escape his wrath yet again, but she is apprehended.
