The conversations address academic agendas and university life dilemmas in the vicinity of the signs "Latin" and "Hispanic" in the United States. The volume addresses Spanish / English relations, literature and culture, history and theory (post-colonial, subaltern, etc.).

The volume includes a prologue and an epilogue. Each chapter constitutes an extensive interview with one of these colleagues.
