I have always thought of the world in a much different way than most tend to.

I see in colours.

I see people in colours. I see memories in colours. I see you as a colour, too

My name is Josef. I am 12-years-old and an aspiring artist who was forcefully taken from my parents to attend one of Hitlers elite schools in WW2 Germany. This is my story and the stories of everyone else I have ever met. Growing up in such a grim time, there is little room for childhood, and what ounce of innocence that remains is drilled out with military-style training and discipline. I learn about the colours, learn that the strong do not survive and the best chance of survival may be in a concentration camp.

What was it like to hear colours, see scents and taste sounds?

Come with me. I’ll show you.

If you feel like it.

It all started with the day the world ended.
