As parents bringing up children in the diaspora, we have realised the importance of teaching our children about their cultural attributes, religion, language, customs, and heritage. It quickly became apparent to us that the best way to do this was through telling stories of the Bible in Rutooro language. It is our responsibility to encourage learning in our children to preserve our rich heritage and the Rutooro language. By breaking the language barrier and amalgamating universal codes of communication such as storytelling directly translated, anybody can learn not just Rutooro but any other language.
