This book describes the author's twenty seven years of schizophrenia and living with paranoia and fear and how he overcame these by quitting drugs, cigarettes and beer and going on a strict vegan diet. He has been on psychiatric medication since 1996 and believes that it does him more harm than good and he wants to be free of it completely. The 'Magic Mushrooms' in the title is a nod to the wonder and beauty that can be found in nature.
