Lawyer Mary Lee is a first-generation immigrant. She graduated from Ewha Womans University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, South Korea. She was an interpreter when she first came to the United States. Working as a certified court interpreter, she graduated from law school and became a lawyer in 1995. She is better known as a BBK lawyer among Koreans, as she represented Optional Ventures Korea in a series of U.S. litigations involving the former South Korean President Myung Bak Lee and the entity BBK for nineteen years. Based on her own litigation experiences, she presents this book written in Korean for Korean-speaking readers living in the United States and those who need information about U.S. Laws.
