So here we are folks, we've arrived at the final volume of 'The North-East Diaries' trilogy. Unfortunately many of our friends from volumes 1 & 2 are no longer with us. Tug, Sid, Titch Irving, Martha, Barney, Wilf Rees, Sheila Potter/Bates and several others are now sadly gone. In this volume Charlie Chuck makes his final appearance along with Albert the 'tatie' lad and my dad. Several important new characters take their bow... Frances, Lorraine, Chunk, John Milk and Jim Pint the landlord of 'The Folly'... all real people in real-life action. This offering takes us up to 2005 when we leave Blyth and the North-East for the final time. Further volumes are planned but they will morph into 'The Highland Diaries' and cover our Scotland sojourn from 2005 to the present day. Hoping this contribution meets with your approval and thanks once again to the folk of my home town Blyth and the wider North-East area. Adios amigos... (Eeeh Jim, we didn't know you spoke German).
