The book describes the Italian military campaign in the Balkans, between October 1940 and spring 1941, starting first with the invasion of Greece in 1940, with the Italian offensive and the subsequent Greek counter-offensive, with the consequent folding of the forces Italian in Albania. Then in the spring of 1941, thanks also to the intervention of the German forces on the Balkan front, the offensive was resumed, with the Italian forces that also invaded Yugoslavia. AUTHOR: Massimiliano Afiero was born in Afragola, Italy, in 1964. An information technology teacher and programmer, he has been interested in military history since his youth. He has published widely and has been involved in the editing and development of several magazines including Volontari, SGM, Ritterkreuz and The European Volunteer, and the Fronti di Guerra series. Since January 2017, he has been Editor-in-Chief of the quarterly magazine The Axis Forces. 8 colour plates, 194 b/w photos, 14 b/w illustrations & 18 b/w maps
