Newton is a film critic with an inconsequential existence witnessing the imaginations of others but never paying any mind to his own. Cristian teaches him to live his life wilfully, and without excuse or apology. He shows him what truly being alive really means. Cristian has been struggling to write the love story for his latest movie and asks Newton to help him. Little does Newton realise what this involves though. He is taken to an empty studio lot and to his amazement witnesses a real love story unfolding, but Newton can't understand what or who the love interest, Ava, is.
