"To have been given the gift of poetry is my greatest honor. I've given others a voice in a life where we are taught not to speak. My silences will echo through the infinite".

This book was built from the words I wrote to help me find solace in a time when all I had was paper and pen. I turned the hurt I was feeling into something that can be shown, to be understood in the only way I knew how. As a lifeline, or simply a release, I used a pen to tell my story. This book is filled with my hardest goodbyes, my most welcome hellos, simple recollections of times past and a telling of a more hopeful future. There are reflections and silhouettes of stories that most people can find in their own lives, and my aim is to help you find some comfort in my ability to share that story; in times when you yourself might be unable to do that. Let these pages be a reflection of growth, of healing and of change; I hope you see a little piece of yourself in this book, as I have discovered many parts of myself whilst writing.
