The Indigo Trail is a magical realism story stepping back in time. It is the hot, dry summer of 1976 and Indigo Child, Tiggy, is on a mission to shatter the gender stereotype that girls do not belong in a boys' world and when she receives an old BMX cycle, this free spirit intends to shake things up.

However, Tiggy lives on a prestigious close of suffocating, rule-making busy-bodies (whom she dubs 'The Greygoyles, ') who wish to change her. Her parents simply want to fit in, but Tiggy is determined to smash the glass ceiling above her and to make the holidays count. This is the plan, except for an incident fifty years earlier when twin boys are victims of a terrible storm (one of whom mysteriously goes missing), that is to have dramatic consequences. Tiggy's life this summer is about to change forever.

Can Tiggy's intrepid journey through The Rainbow Realm vanquish the demons of her parents unhappy past and breathe new life into her dream of becoming a biking champion and trail blazer for girls?
