On 22 March 2020, seven days into lockdown Cyril Duff started an isolation diary on Facebook. The aim was to cheer up family and friends during a difficult period. They shared it with their families and friends, with the result that the diary was read far and wide, bringing comfort and humour to many. In addition to Cyril’s daily contribution, comments from his son and niece’s Facebook pages, where it was shared every day, have also been included.
