TIME FOR RHYME is a book of original Modern day Poems and Nursery Rhymes. It is aimed at children from about the ages of 3 -8 and is quite quirky and upbeat in the main. Traditional Nursery Rhymes are great but I thought it worthwhile to have some with a more modern twist. With my 3-year-old grandson, I tend to change some of the names to those of friends or others in the family, so he can think of them whilst being read to. The older children may find some of the poems quite funny, whilst others might be quite thought-provoking as in the story about the lion going back to the zoo.

The poems have very varied subjects but hopefully, ones that all children can relate to. I do hope that young readers will enjoy them and when they are older, maybe have a go at writing some of their own.
