The Disciples

DCI Steve Burt has to deal with a new and ambitious boss who seconds him to a county force to assist in the investigation of two murders of young women who have been killed in horrific circumstances. The team wonder if the discovery of the bodies near international airports is significant. During his investigation into the double murders the DCI becomes aware that he cannot trust anyone and is drawn into the secret world of "The Disciples of the Syndicate." Steve is encouraged by MI6 to become a Disciple in order to discover who the members are and how deeply this organisation is embedded into the hierarchy of influential people who run the country. The DCI eventually realises that the murders and " The Disciples of the Syndicate" are connected and with the help of another European police force the team cleverly solve the murders but not before another killing and the DCI becoming involved with a brutal European gang master that results in him putting his own and his fiancee's life in danger.
