I am a mother of five and a grandmother of nine, who grew up as the fourth child of seven. My parents, like many parents of that day, believed children should do what they’re told-no questions asked. I was always the child with the one proverbial question, Why? This series explores that question. It’s meant to open conversations to help us grow by developing an understanding of ourselves, one another, and the world around us. My hopes is to inspire an atmosphere of acceptance, compassion, and unconditional love.
