Raices: Una aproximacion comunicativa intercultural a la lengua espanola, Volumen tres is a communicative-based, learner-centric book designed to give Spanish 201 students opportunities to develop and practice Spanish in everyday situations.

Each chapter of the book features distinct sections--a) !A empezar!, b) !A conversar!, c) !A escuchar!, d) !A escribir!, and e) !A leer!--to help develop the students' five language skills: writing, reading, speaking, listening, and cultural awareness. At the end of each lesson, is included Perspectiva cultural and !A pronunciar! or Ortografia. The text offers a variety of interactive and communicative exercises such as tongue-twisters, crosswords, riddles, real world tasks, role play, reading excerpts, short film discussion questions, and other listening exercises.
