Imagine you are an eleven-year-old boy, out in the woods one day. What if you came across the tracks of an animal that is considered extinct! Would you believe it? Would you spend your time to check it out, or would you just disregard it? What if it turned out to be real? What would be the impact on you, your family, the animal? All of this happens while you are experiencing the loss of your mother, trying to understand the pain your father feels, and moving to a new place. Add in being attracted to a girl for the first time! How do you deal with it all?
