How would you react if your childhood nightmare began tormenting your present? Scott Larsson, a gifted yet troubled man, finds himself descending, almost hopelessly, into the life he dreamt of and feared as a child. After finding his curious cat cozied up by the wood-burner, merely minutes after laying the creature to rest beneath a mysterious tree, he finds himself lost between times. Scott is caught in a paradox, where reality reflects his dreams and people from his dreams show up in his life, but how can he prove these people are really from his dreams? Does his secret illness alter his reality? Only when he meets Jess Cameron, a woman from a recent nightmare, is he forced to question just how much of his dreams are in fact real life and how much merely dreams. An awakened ability leads him and his friends via the mysterious tree to the Large Hadron Collider and, in turn, a road of unimaginable distress. Scott’s past dictates his future, a future inhabited by those who may or may not be the people they seem. How many of these characters come from Scott himself? What action would you take?
