Celebrated cartoonist Kate Beaton vividly presents the untold story of Canada

Before there was Kate Beaton, New York Times bestselling cartoonist of Hark A Vagrant, there was Katie Beaton of the Cape Breton Beatons, a tight-knit seaside community.
