Jack looked to the Communist Party to bring the Revolution. That gave him a love, friends and a cause worth dying for.

Tommy was older and smarter. He looked at the people with the money and wanted his share. He thought he could take what he wanted and have the beautiful women, sports cars and the fashionable clothes that his heroes had.

Both found that their dreams crumbled into the dust of the Aragon. They learned what their father never told them about the true nature of war. Limping home as beaten men they had to learn to how to rebuild their lives on the ruins of the Spanish Civil War.
