Jenny Grainer was born in Portsmouth, England but has lived in the Algarve since 1968. This collection of stories, are the memories of Jenny’s life, and an authentic version of Portugal’s growth and change as seen through the eyes of an English woman. The reader will be shocked, surprised, amused and charmed by her version of events.

Jenny’s stories evoked many memories of those early days, when some of us were fortunate enough to share the lifestyle of farming and fisher-folk, whose land we invaded.
