Sarah is five years old and loves monsters, but she is very sad. She has lost her voice because she has to live without her mom. One day, some bullies steal the book that her mom made for her and hide it in a dark, scary place. When Sarah goes into the dark to get her book back, she meets Mr. Red, one of her favourite characters from the book. He invites her on a journey into a fantasy world to find her lost voice.
