After the early death of her mother, Rhoisin has strong reasons to believe that her father, whom she has never met, was born and brought up in Knockramore, Killalee, County Sligo, in the West of Ireland. In the summer of 1976, aged 22, Rhoisin decides to visit County Sligo in search of him.
Miread Devlin is a native of Killalee, County Sligo, not far from Knockramore. Tired of the bleak confinement of Killalee, Miread goes to Dublin in search of a job.
