Feely’s mum loves solving others people’s problems. In fact, she is a counsellor, so she gets paid to fix people’s problems. When her mum takes Feely to a ‘take your daughter to work’ day, Feely can’t think of anything worse. Her mum suddenly gets called away on an emergency and Feely is left on her own in the waiting room.

In her mum’s absence, Feely sets about sorting out all her clients’ problems.

This title is part of the hilarious Feely Tonks series. Barbara Catchpole is masterful at producing laugh out loud books which hook even the most reluctant readers. Her character Feely Tonks is a mercilessly honest, clever girl constantly annoyed at her (in her own eyes) useless family. The books are written as her diary entries with easy to read text and really lovely, funny, blackand white illustrations. Perfect for engaging girls (and boys) less keen on reading.
