The Great Sicilian Cat Rescue: One English Woman’s Mission to Save an Island’s Cats

This is the light-hearted yet often moving story of one woman’s mission to rescue an animal she loves, as well as an insight into the unique culture and landscape of Sicily.

Jenny moves to Sicily and encounters the eccentric gattare (cat ladies) who devote their time to saving colonies of feral cats and launches a one-woman campaign, Catsnip, to try and save the struggling feline population. In the process, she encounters an enigmatic, sinister backdrop to the unique island of Sicily, with a people and culture scarred by years of domination.
