Description
This book tells you about social problems, from rat infestations to problems of race and colour. It takes you through physical and mental illness and coping with imminent death through the eyes of the author. It also states the author’s view about American and British politics and the corona virus. There are some poems about current events and personalities. It is the ninth book by Andrew Aldred and is a book of poetry where some of his books have also contained short stories.
About the Author
The author was born in Newcastle in 1966 and moved to Bolton with his family when he was young. He left school at sixteen and joined the army where he served as a tank driver and royal engineer in Germany and the Falkland Islands. Since leaving the army he got an education and has worked in various jobs, including repairing mobility scooters, as a warehouseman dealing with mail orders, promoting mental health services and as a teacher of computer skills and literacy. He is now a disabled man, both physically and mentally, and is retired. He has been married for five years and retains a close relationship with his ex-wife. He has a grandson, aged ten.
