Methane is also a greenhouse gas, but its greenhouse effect is a staggering 25 times more powerful than CO2. Methane is release when waste landfills rots and when cows burp grassy gas. These greenhouse gases stay in the atmosphere, so every year the blanket gets thicker and thicker, and Earth gets hotter and hotter.
