When publishers Bloomsbury decided to publish Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 1997 it had already been rejected by 12 other publishers but Bloomsbury took a gamble, paid GBP2,500 for UK & Commonwealth Rights and invested in an initial print run of just 500 hard backs.

From such modest beginnings the Harry Potter brand rapidly expanded to become a worldwide phenomenon: seven books, eight films, a play and themed "Wizarding Worlds" in the UK, USA, Japan and China.

In the quarter of a century since launch Harry Potter and his world has captured the imagination of several generations of children, young adults and grownups too. And following the success of our first Harry Potter Quiz Book we're now publishing Harry Potter Quiz Book Volume II.
