Despite the premature end of his first marriage to popular TV presenter Vanessa Walshe, professional rugby-player Rob believes in second chances.

Not everyone is quite so enthusiastic. The arrival of Rob's wedding invitation throws the Walshe family into turmoil as they are forced to relive the events of three summers past.

Widowed father Johnny Walshe shivers as he opens the envelope, despite the warm Irish June day. He can feel again the arid heat of Sicily - on that ill-fated, celebratory family holiday.

Somewhere in the suburbs of Dublin, an invitation for Davey Walshe and his wife Karen is propped up on the mantelpiece. As she scrutinises it, Karen can visualise the perched romantic town of Taormina - the location she recommended for Rob's first honeymoon.
