As a - now retired - teacher I’ve been dealing with fiction in one form or another for many years and am constantly on the lookout for short stories that are engaging, relatively quick to read and instantly accessible - in my experience, not so easy to come across as one might imagine. My approach has always been to address this apparent gap in the market; at times, adopting a style close to the traditional fable or folk-tale or veering only slightly from it.
