This is a story about a child getting lost in the forest and meeting a flimmogel, one of those small people who live only in the Fraser Valley and who cannot be seen by humans. Together they brave the dangers of the night forest, and face threats from various beasts. Through their shared love for the teachings of the Great Good Lady (the child's aunt), they come to understand each other and learn to be friends.
