Honeycake: A Circle Of Trust - A Children’s Picture Book About Building A Strong Foundation Of Trust
Literary Titan Gold Winning Book
Book Excellence Award Finalist
The International Review of Books Badge Of Achievement
With A Circle of Trust there is no beginning and no end, which signifies that your love for one another is endless and will last forever.
A Circle Of Trust is a story with social emotional learning (SEL) in mind. It has been praised by parents and teachers worldwide.
In the fourth installment of the delightful Honeycake series, Nala goes into her papa’s office without permission and breaks his favourite mug. Nala panics and hides in her bedroom.
With the help of her parents, Nala learns a valuable lesson of trust and how to have an open and honest communication in a safe space.
Nala also learns that trust takes a long to build and can easily be destroyed in a split second!
This book has a dual purpose, to enlighten children on the importance of trust and open communication as well as to educate parents on the vital need to create a safe space for children to open up from a young age. This book is also excellent for strengthening bonds between parents and children as they read it together and implement the lessons learnt in the story.
Readers give this book and series a 5.0 out of 5 stars!
FAMILY AND TRUST
This book affected me on several levels. First, the colorful appeal is very strong. The sunny palette of orange, red, turquoise, and yellow underscore this family story of warmth and caring. Second, the child’s regret at breaking her father’s favorite mug is conveyed realistically, and the unfolding of the incident serves to enforce a message of family unity and trust. I have not seen the previous Honeycake books, but since I am a grandmother, I certainly plan to check them out as potential gifts!
THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!!!
This is an amazing book. Trust, honesty and communication is essential characteristics of life. Honeycake talks about this very well. It’s hard to trust, but this book talks about the value and the importance of trust as it relates to life. It is a wonderful lesson that will teach young people the value of trust. The author is absolutely talented. You have to buy this book. All kids will love it!
FABULOUS CONCEPT OF INCLUSION AND BELONGING
If you were ever looking for a book to increase a child’s feeling of belonging and safety within the family dynamic, this is the one. A little girl worries about telling her family that she has broken something, which she is terribly upset about. But, with the help of a loving and supporting circle of trust, she is able to finally understand that there is always a safe space for her, to be honest, and open. A place of love and acceptance. A beautiful story
It’s the perfect gift for all teachers and children, preschool through grade 3. It helps caregivers and educators start an age-appropriate conversation on the importance of honesty and open communication which will ultimately pave way for them to develop healthy relationships in life.
Parents and Teachers Toolbox: Honeycake is an empowering series curated to empower young children to become aware of big emotions.
