Mungo Joudry lives secretly in other people’s homes while they are away, orchestrating their lives from his unseen position. As a promising neo-classical composer at Juilliard in New York, Mungo never expected to be accused by his best friend of plagiarism. He abandons a lover and flees to Toronto to escape the scandal. Living covertly in Elizabeth Carey’s home, his hidden life is threatened when she discovers and takes his handwritten musical score to the Ontario Symphony Orchestra. Meanwhile, in another home, that of ambitious CEO, Blake Beringer, and his wife Nancy, Mungo overhears Blake being blackmailed by an ex-lover. He clandestinely intervenes to ensure that another man’s career is not ruined by scandal, only to once again be falsely accused, this time of murdering Blake’s blackmailer. Now as the police and the past race to catch up with him, he desperately fights to remain hidden until he can prove his innocence.
