Working Dogs

Dogs are often kept as pets, living with people who look after them and play with them.

But many other dogs are busy working animals that have been trained to do special jobs. Dogs are helpful because they have excellent hearing and eyesight, as well as a good sense of smell. There are many different kinds of dogs. Some kinds are good at their own special work.
