Pride and Prejudice Reborn

A hasty decision has committed Elizabeth to missionary life in India. She journeys to London to prepare for this undertaking. There her life is changed forever. Elizabeth boards the merchant ship a new woman, eager to serve at the Mission school.

Fitzwilliam Darcy, former Captain in the Royal Navy, has recovered from a war wound to his leg. He leaves the mantle of Pemberley in his father's capable hands and plunges into a business venture. In truth, he is relieved to say good-bye to the expectations of marriage pressed upon him.

Elizabeth to India, and Darcy to business. These two lives, it seems, will never cross paths. But God has other plans.

Three years later, a disaster in India causes Elizabeth to return to England. She arrives to find those at Longbourn in desperate straits.

Unexpected circumstances bring Elizabeth and Darcy together. United by a common goal, they glimpse in each other hearts that have been changed. Elizabeth cannot but see the character of the man that Darcy has become. Likewise, Darcy struggles with his deep attraction to Elizabeth, not understanding where she fits into God's plan for him.
