In this book, I present my own ideas on a wide variety of topics from writing, relationships, children, exercise, travel, Newfoundland and Labrador, the death of a parent, and my undying love of geeky hobbies and entertainment. Aside from finding things to love and be hopeful for in the world, this book is about finding happiness within yourself. A journey of getting in touch with (and accepting) feelings and memories, even when dark or sad. For me it was a way of putting my own life in perspective, seeing how death is a part of life and that eventually, we all learn something from our parents and find ways to grow and change from the experiences they give us.

It is a book about removing distractions in life that promise happiness but leads only to hurt and confusion. Inspiring us to not only find happiness in our lives but seeing that making the world better (and other people happy) is the goal we should all have. Ultimately it is about seeing the hope that continues to shine in this world and that you can only get out of life what you put in.
