Into the Light: The Art of Lionel LeMoine FitzGerald

UNDER-PUBLISHED ARTIST: Fitzgerald was the last painter invited to join the Group of Seven but has not received the attention he deserves, in part because the Group disbanded a couple of years after he joined. His work is important and deserves more attention.

GREAT CURATORS: Milroy and Dejardin are very successful curators who had a tremendously successful exhibition in London several years ago on the art of Emily Carr. It received rave reviews the the five major daily papers there. This is their first collaboration in North America.

GROUP OF SEVEN IN U.S.: Actor/Comedian Steve Martin brought the Group of Seven to American audiences by curating a major exhibition at LACMA (The Idea of North: The Paintings of Lawren Harris). Along with the several exhibitions in London, the group is gaining international recognition.
