The story of the constellation Aries and of Chrysomallos the Ram.
Born from a union between Poseidon and Theophane on a remote island that was the home of a flock of sheep. They are interrupted by shepherds during copulation, so they disguised themselves as sheep to avoid the embarrassment that Theophane might suffer if their tryst became public knowledge. Their male child was born with the ability to morph from a human into a ram. From his mother, he has long golden hair, and when he becomes a ram, he has golden fleece. He has wings and the ability to fly.
He is named Chrysomallos and is raised by his loving mother Theophane. He eventually befriends the princess Helle who lives in a nearby kingdom. When their lives become perilous, Chrysomallos the flying, golden fleeced, ram comes to her rescue. His bravery is celebrated as the constellation of the Ram, know to us as Aries.
