The Real Pigeons series has been a great success and the duo behind it are now branching out, pun intended, by turning their attention to new readers with a series called Hello Twigs.

The series is being launched with four books. The books are literally about twigs. They are certainly odd, but that’s nothing rare when it comes to children’s books. This isn’t even the first time we have seen branches with personality in the spotlight; Julia Donaldson’s Stick Man has been a bestseller for 15 years now!

The Hello Twigs books are four junior graphic novels about the adventures of four friends: Ziggy, Red, Noodle, and Stump. Noodle is non-verbal, communicating only with gestures and action. Each book is full colour with some words highlighted and enlarged to appeal to new readers. There’s Surprise!, Let’s Find Treasure, How Are You Feeling? and Time to Paint.

The stories are simple, but there are many moments of drama and plenty of laughs. For ages 5+.
