This is a love story of two people and their animals. They met in 1961, were engaged in three weeks, married in three months, and rescued their first animal a month later. It is also a story of adventure, living in Port Moresby for nine years, learning how to raise rare animals, of which there was little known at the time. They explored the local villages, collecting and sending animals to zoos. Many of the animals which were characters themselves, lived with them in their house. They were part of the love story, which continued after they left New Guinea. They reared three children, and travelled the world with them, always looking for adventures.
