Parcel For Penguin

Set in a chilly arctic world, this picture book is an utter delight. Penguin and his friends are freezing cold in their very inhospitable snowy and windy homeland. When a boat arrives with a parcel delivery for Penguin from a friend, there is much excitement. The various animals, including a walrus, a seal and a seagull, try to guess what could possibly be inside this very large present. When they finally open it in a frenzy of unwrapping, it is quite a surprise.

This debut picture book by Shelley Knoll-Miller is a fun read aloud, with pictures and text working in tandem to tell the story. It has gorgeous end-papers and the smaller format is perfect for little hands. Suitable for ages 2+.
